Imagination Publishing Group (IPG) has announced bookstores are stocking up on award-winning childrens author Tina Turbins illustrated kids book Danny the Dragon Meets Jimmy and Danny the Dragon Dreams CD in anticipation of the upcoming holiday season.
According to IPG, perhaps best known for its cherished childrens titles, their distributor, Ingram, Baker & Taylor has been receiving more orders for Danny the Dragon titles, in particular Danny the Dragon Meets Jimmy, the first book in Turbins kids book series, and the critically-acclaimed Danny the Dragon Dreams CD.
We were expecting a lot of Danny the Dragon orders for the holiday season due to the authors recent tours and numerous awards generating more sales, said an Imagination Publishing Group representative. According to IPG executive Alan Wayne, all this attention can be attributed to Turbins busy West Coast and European Book Tours as well as the authors impressive number of awards earned throughout the year.
Turbin called her jam-packed tours in the West U.S. and the European continent a tremendous success. According to author, who visited devoted Danny the Dragon fans in libraries, schools with the book prominently displayed in book fairs It was wonderful to reach out to my fans and see what an impact the adventures of Danny the Dragon have made on children and their families.
The author is not only cherished by children and their parents but by critics as well. This past year Turbin added several prestigious awards to her already enormous number of accolades, including the 2011 Media of the Year Award by Creative Child Magazine and First Prize for Best Illustrations in the prestigious Purple Dragonfly Book Awards for her illustrations by renowned illustrator Aija Jasuna. Turbins other some awards include the iParenting Media Awards and the Moms Choice Awards.
As for the author herself, Turbin says she is extremely pleased and honored with the enormous anticipation of her childrens book series this holiday season. Turbin plans to spend the part of her holidays working on more Danny the Dragons adventures, new titles and eBooks. Her first eBook is a finalist with Florida Publishers Association ( FPA), winner to be announced in November.
