E-LIFE Home Automation Hit the Premier League

(PRWEB UK) 22 October 2011

E-LIFE Home Automation again rises to the challenge of delivering the finest home automation and control systems. Three of our latest installations have been at the very top end of the market for the most challenging and demanding of clients.

A common mistake is thinking that home automation is only the reserve of the rich and famous. The fact is the majority, of E-LIFE's work are with non-celebrities, those homeowners or developers who have the resource and foresight to consider technology as a feature.

As you can imagine budgets were generous but the brief demanding. Full ipad and iphone control was a must as well as static options in strategic locations around the home. One area for consideration was what control options were required when the iphone or ipad is not available. In this instance a series of coloured touchscreens were installed to offer control of the lights, music and heating for each room throughout the house.

One of the current requirements of any distributed audio system is the ability to play downloaded music from a PC's itunes or spotify accounts or from ipods and iphones. Not only that but two way control from touchscreens or from app based software means that you have the ability to skip tracks, play your playlists and search for certain artists and albums.

With wealth comes all the trappings and gate entry systems that allowed the caller to be viewed on TV screens prior to allowing access was also installed. Not only that but certain functions allowed the caller to ring through on a dedicated landline to speak to the homeowner. A doorbell alert was also triggered on the dedicated home cinema screen so no caller went neglected.

This step into the footballing world has been a real adventure for the E-LIFE team and another feather in the E-LIFE cap. We continually strive to source some of the finest products and solutions to deliver workable, practical and reliable full automation systems.

Homer Hits a Home Run as Rocket Boys The Musical Blasts Off For Final Weekend

Beckluy, West Virginia (PRWEB) September 03, 2011

Homer hits a home run with Rocket Boys The Musical which opened with sold-out shows and standing ovations. Now the team is gearing up for the final weekend in West Virginia's Cliffside Amphitheater in Grandview State Park.

The play relates to all audience's and is a story very well known in the Mountain State. The Coalwood, West Virginia native Homer Hickams Rocket Boys is a New York Times #1 bestseller and was made into the hit Hollywood movie October Sky. The book was a runaway worldwide hit, has been translated into dozens of languages, and is now considered a modern American literary classic. In fact, by most accounts, Rocket Boys has become the most read book by students in U.S. schools.

Now, the beloved story that put the far southwestern corner of West Virginia on the world map has been re-imagined as a Broadway-bound stage play Rocket Boys The Musical.

When it comes to the songs for the show, it was key to get the right people involved, and I couldnt be happier with the creative team of Diana Belkowski, Dan Tramon and Carl Anthony Tramon. These Broadway veterans have composed a terrific soundtrack for Rocket Boys; I wouldnt be surprised to see some of these songs wind up on the pop charts, said Hickam of the family team behind the Rocket Boys The Musicals memorable soundtrack. The multi-talented trio includes brothers Carl Anthony Tramon, (who co-wrote the playbook) and Dan Tramon, and sister Diana Belkowski, who serve as lyricists and composers of the shows top-notch soundtrack.

The Artistic Director Marina Hunley-Graham is an excellent stage director and so positive and "uniting" that the impossible can be achieved on a regular basis! Traits of my brother Carl, by the way, so no wonder they operate so wonderfully directing the show together, along with the equally talented eye of co-director Rich Jagunic. And, the cast is just terrific. The two terrific leads here in West Virginia, Chris Bellinger (Homer) and Katherine Yacko (Elsie) are easily Broadway-worthy, just exceptional actors. I know Carl is enjoying sharing a stage with this talented cast while bringing his own Broadway experience with. Everyone here shines in his or her own way, or we wouldn't have cast them. And the tech department in this show should take their own bow each night! The pyro' effects and lighting design personnel are terrific and tireless, according to Diana, referring to the challenges the crew faces in bringing the famous rocket launches and Coalwood Olga coal mine to life nightly on the stage.

Before the current fully staged production by Theatre West Virginia, the trio was instrumental in Rocket Boys The Musicals successful industry readings in New York City, Los Angeles and Huntsville Alabama, where Hickam now lives. The show was a winner of the New York ASCAP / Disney Musical Theatre Workshop and ANMTs Search for New Musical Voices, and is likely headed to Broadway, where its already well known to theatre insiders there.

The brother-sister-brother creative team assembled an all-star cast for the ASCAP reading in New York including Broadway vets like West Virginias own Mark McVey (Les Mis

Moving Home after Graduation? 5 Tips for Grads & Parents

NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) May 12, 2006

Once the bags are packed, the diplomas are handed out, and photo ops are long over, most grads expect to move out on their own. But for many college seniors, that's simply not an option.

According to the 2006 MonsterTrak survey, 48 percent of all students will find themselves knocking on their family's door come graduation. Additionally, 44 percent of last year's graduates are still living with their parents. After all, with astronomical tuition costs, credit card debt, and high cost of housing in major metropolitan areas, what's a newly minted college graduate to do?

"While some boomerangers manage to avoid the pitfalls of moving back home again, many don't adequately prepare themselves for the practical, economic, and emotional realities of moving back in with Mom and Dad," says Elina Furman, author of Boomerang Nation: How to Survive Living with your Parents the Second Time Around (Fireside, May 10, 2005; $ 14.00) and a former boomeranger herself. "My goal is to help grads realize than not only can they go home again, they can survive and thrive there."

There are a myriad of challenges to deal with, including navigating tense family dynamics, managing finances, dealing with privacy issues, and dating. Furman offers these 5 tips:

1. SET A MOVE-OUT DEADLINE: Before you move in, make sure to set a departure date. Otherwise, parents will be become frustrated and graduates may become unmotivated to move out on their own.

2. DON'T LET THEM BABY YOU: Some parents ("perma-parents") don't want their kids to grow up. If your parents try to baby you, show them you're an adult by taking on household responsibilities like fixing the computer or cooking dinner.

3. DON'T PUT YOUR LIFE ON HOLD: For boomerangers: make an effort to get involved in local activities and meet new singles in your area while living at home. Parents: carry on with your day-to-day activities as you normally would or risk resentment setting in.

4. HAVE A GOAL: Saving for a down payment on a house, starting a business, finding a job, eliminating debt - these are all good reasons to move back home. Parents and kids should discuss these goals and work together to make them a reality.

5. PAY RENT!: Whether the boomeranger pays $ 50 or $ 300 a month, it's important that they contribute to the household. If parents feel guilty accepting cash, invest the funds and present the money as a gift once the kids are ready to move out.

About the Author: A nationally-known author, speaker, and media personality, Elina Furman has written over 20 books, including Boomerang Nation: How to Survive Living with Your Parents the Second Time Around (Fireside, May 2005), The Everything After College Book, and Generation, Inc.: The 100 Best Businesses for Young Entrepreneurs.

Furman has been interviewed on television and radio from coast to coast, including The Today Show, Good Morning America, CNBC, and Geraldo at Large. She has been frequently quoted in newspapers and magazines, such as The Washington Post, Money, Cosmopolitan, The New York Times, WSJ, and Newsweek. Furman lives in New York City.
